Meditation is one of the great mysteries of life. If you do
not already someone meditatess, the gift you give yourself and learn how to do
this. You relieve tension, and study the best, and I wonder how I got ever along
without it.
Finding a quiet place where you can be alone and
undisturbed.
Sit upright on the floor or on a chair with both feet
planted firmly on the floor.
Fold your hands with the tips of your thumb lightly
touching, or Rest your hands open and relax on your legs.
Close your eyes or focus on something quietly about three
feet in front of you on the ground.
Breathe deeply, and with each exhale, melt into the ground.
Focus on a single image, a word, or mantra through
education. Some people use a candle flame, and some word that becomes a mantra.
The idea is to focus your mind on one thing.
As other thoughts come into your mind, acknowledge them, and
let them go, and refocus your single image or word.
Learning how to meditate can be frustrating in the
beginning. Most of us do not use in controlling our thoughts. It takes
practice. If you stick with it, you will find that it becomes easier and easier
to stay focused on one thing alone. This is incredibly healing and calming. In
time, you will find that the answer to the problems come easier during or after
meditation.
